Compare two texts

How it works

Spot what was added, removed or left alone between two versions. Fill in the form and choose Compare. It opens with an example already filled in, so you can see how it works first.

What you need

• Original text
• Changed text
• Compare lines (Exactly as written, Ignoring case and extra spaces)

What you get

• Added, Removed, Unchanged
• Copy or save the result

Example

The tool opens with Compare lines: Exactly as written, and some example text.

That gives: Added: 2; Removed: 1; Unchanged: 2.

Good to know

Compares whole lines. A changed line shows as one removed line and one added line. Lines starting with + are only in the changed text; lines starting with - are only in the original.
